Espíritu Santo Island
Year-roundA UNESCO World Heritage natural treasure
Exceptional biodiversity
The waters around Espíritu Santo are a refuge for an enormous variety of marine species. Depending on the season you may see:
- California sea lions
- Dolphins
- Sea turtles
- Eagle rays and mobula rays
- Large schools of tropical fish
- Whales on their seasonal migration
- Resident and migratory seabirds
Swim with sea lions
A highlight is the visit to Los Islotes, home to one of the healthiest sea-lion colonies in the Gulf of California. You can swim beside these curious mammals in complete freedom as they go about their natural behaviour. An honest note: from June 1 to August 31 the sea-lion swim closes for breeding season; viewing from the boat is still extraordinary.
Incomparable beaches and scenery
We visit some of the most spectacular beaches in Baja California Sur, perfect for relaxing, snorkelling, or simply soaking in the calm of an almost untouched setting.
