Marine Safari
Year-roundNature sets the itinerary
Bay of La Paz
One of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the Gulf of California. Its broad reefs, seamounts and protected coastal zones shelter an enormous variety of species. Depending on the season we may find:
- Bottlenose dolphins
- Sea turtles
- Sea lions
- Whale shark
- Mobula rays
- Whales
- A range of seabirds
La Ventana
One of Baja California Sur's best-kept secrets. Ocean currents and nutrient upwellings create ideal conditions for marine life to concentrate. In the right season you can witness enormous mobula-ray aggregations leaping across the surface. The region has also earned international recognition for its responsible observation programmes for large marine predators, including regulated orca encounters.
